LSO Lunchtime Concert

On Thursday 21st November 2024, we have arranged an attack to LSO St. Luke’s in Old Street for a lunchtime concert by the London Symphony Orchestra.

This will include a recital by the internationally renowned British violinist and conductor, Rachel Podger, who specialises in baroque music, and Lucie Horsch, a young Dutch recorder player. They will give a concert of baroque music by composers including JS Bach, CPE Bach, and Telemann, as well as some lesser-known baroque composers including Joseph Boismortier, Antonio Montanari and Francesco Barsanti.

The pick-up time will be 11.00am at The Woodlawns Centre, 16 Leigham Court Road, SW16 2PJ, and the return journey will leave St. Luke’s at around 2.30pm. The ticket price for this event will be £19 per person including return transport. 

Please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as we are limited to about 30 places for this event and believe it is likely to be very popular.

Wednesday 4th December 2024
Polhill Garden Centre

On Wednesday 4th December 2024, we have arranged our annual outing to the Polhill Garden Centre, which is situated in the beautiful Kent countryside. This is an ideal place for Christmas shopping thanks to the extensive range of departments which have a wide range of products available from plants and gardening equipment to indoor and outdoor furniture, clothing, toys and gifts.

The Food Hall contains an excellent butcher, stores of excellent greengroceries plus a baker and patisserie for freshly baked loaves of bread and cream cakes. Much of the produce comes from local farms. After shopping, there are cafeterias and two restaurants from which delicious food can be enjoyed.

The pick-up time will be 10.00am at The Woodlawns Centre, 16 Leigham Court Road, SW16 2PJ, and the return journey will leave Polhill at around 3.00pm. The ticket price for this event will be £11.50 which includes return transport.

Please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We are limited to a maximum of 48 places for this outing.​
